August 22, 2025

After almost a decade of working to serve the Byron Center community, it is with a heavy heart that we share this news: the Bite Cancer Foundation will no longer be hosting awareness games, and the foundation will be coming to a close.

Since its inception in October 2016, your support, participation, and generosity have meant the world to us. In partnership with the community, we have raised awareness, supported those affected, and created meaningful impact. We are deeply grateful for every volunteer, donor, and participant who has been part of this journey.

While this chapter is ending, the mission and spirit of Bite Cancer Foundation will live on in the lives that have been touched and the awareness that has been raised. We encourage you to continue advocating for cancer awareness and supporting those impacted in any way you can.

Thank you for being a vital part of our community and for sharing in our mission and enriching our lives. Your dedication has made a lasting difference.

The Bite Cancer Foundation was created in October of 2016 by Byron Center teacher/Head Football coach Marc Cisco and his wife Anji. The Bite Cancer Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 foundation whose mission is to support Byron Center families that are actively battling cancer.  The funds raised by the Bite Cancer Foundation are gifted directly to families in need.  With the mantra "One Community, One Family," the Bite Cancer Foundation is working to bring awareness of the power of a unified community battle.
